Overview of the department
The Department of Cartoon & Animation, consisting of three major tracks: Game Entertainment Major Track, Realistic Video Content Major Track, and Convergence Design Major Track, cultivates game experts who lead the global game industry trend, the core of the digital entertainment industry, realistic image content experts who produce virtual reality (VR), multi-faceted image, augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), holograms, etc., leading the hottest future image industry trend, and convergence design experts who manufacture 3D printing and IoT (Internet of Things), as the talent of the 4th industrial revolution in the 21st century. Our educational goal is to nurture creative core talents who will play pivotal role in the global trend changes.

Founded in 2000 under the name of Department of Game PD, it is the first game department in Korea to start full-fledged activities from 2001. Based on the accumulated know-how over the past 20 years, along with game entertainment contents, realistic image contents, and convergence design major track, we provide more professional and specialized education.

The curriculum is not a general theoretical education focused on simple production, but is composed of a wide range of industry-wide curriculum that reflects practical work, enabling practical learning.

A number of enrolled students who are already working in the field are interacting with each other to form a human network, and through personal exchanges between students and professors who are experts in each field, we can create a continuous human network both during school and after graduation.
