The proportion of the restaurant and food & beverage industry continue to grow in a modern society. Under this circumstance, the Department of Cooking and Service Management provides systematic [curriculum] and excellent [class] contents so that students can learn liberal arts knowledge and specialized knowledge about the general food service industry, to nurture [cooking and service] experts with [practical skills and knowledge] who will lead [sustainable growth of the food service industry].

Characteristics of the department

  • Blended learning

    Students will be reborn as a specialist having both theory and practice, by improving their capability of solving diverse problems that can arise from independent food service companies, restaurant franchises, bakery and food and beverage service providers. For this, the department provides training programs using the blended learning technique, which teaches related subjects online and practices the contents offline.

  • Grant a special privilege of entering a school

    Only graduates and graduates-to-be of the school will be exempted from the entrance fee and 30% tuition fee reduction as a scholarship every semester, if the student enters the Graduate School of Tourism or Graduate School of Industry in Sejong University.
