Department overview

The Department of Game Entertainment is composed of three major tracks - game entertainment major track, realistic video contents major track, and fusion design major track. Basically, the department focuses on nurturing game specialists and realistic video specialists of various game platforms that lead the global game industry trends. The department is nurturing realistic video contents specialists who create virtual reality (VR), multiplanar images, augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and hologram; 3D printing that transforms students into people of talent in the 4th industrial revolution in the 21 century; and convergence design specialists who create IoT (Internet of things) devices. The department aims to nurture key creative people of talent who will play a pivotal role in global trend changes.

Department specialization

  • The first department in the university that combines game entertainment, realistic video contents, and fusion design.

    The first game department in Korea that was established in 2000 under the name of Department of Game PD and started activities in 2001 in earnest. Based on the know-how accumulated over the past decade, students can receive more specialized and specialized education along with the game entertainment content, realistic video content, and convergence design major track.

  • Closely-related practical education system

    The curriculum consists of a wide range of subjects throughout the industry that reflect practical businesses, rather than general theoretical subjects focused on simple production.

  • More than 70% of enrolled students are professional workers.

    Many students who are already working in the industry are exchanging with each other and forming a human network. The human network can be created at school and after graduation continuously through personal exchanges between professors and students.

  • Providing the certificate system and roadmap

    Students can reach at the practical and realistic future vision by presenting detailed objectives through detailed major tracks and certificate system and providing a roadmap that can achieve the goal successfully.
