Application Procedure

STEP 1Application acceptance on the Internet

  • ① Access the university homepage (home.sjcu.ac.kr)
    - Log in with the student number and password (6 digits of the birth date)
  • ② Student services → Sign up for courses within 9 ~ 18 credits
  • ③ Notify advance reduction in proportion to the signed-up credit (80,000 won per credit).
  • ④ Pay by selecting one of “credit card, virtual account, and selection”

STEP 2Submit admission documents

  • ① Please refer to the homepage guide because documents to submit vary depending on the screening type and grade.
  • ② Submit online immediately/Submit original documents by the registered mail/in person.

STEP 3Announcement of successful applicants and student number check

In the second semester, payment will be made only when the first semester grade is 3.0 (B) or higher [average is based on the original score].

The application of the above scholarship is available only for the general selection, selection for bachelor transfer, Special Education Recipient Selection, and Equal Educational Opportunity Selection. The application must be submitted together with admission documents within the entrance document submission period.

※ Only those who have submitted the above documents within the entrance document submission period will be allowed to pay the pre-deducted amount during the registration period. If submitted after the beginning of the semester, the amount will be refunded later.

Excluding seasonal semester and laboratory fees

Only one applicable scholarship program can be applied among the above programs. If more than 2 programs are applicable, the foremost program will be applied in order of Scholarship for workers > Foreign language talent scholarship > IT talent scholarship > Future talent scholarship > Country love scholarship> Scholarship for housewives > Specialization talent scholarship> Promissory talent scholarship.

Cautions

  • The application must be composed based on the facts and it should be written accurately since it will be the school register data after admission.
  • If there is a mistake/omission/misstatement/false statement, or it seems that illegal methods were used, or the applicant who cannot to meet the eligibility has passed/entered the school, acceptance or admission can be canceled.
  • The application should be composed carefully as it is not allowed to modify the contents of the application or cancel the application after payment of the application fee (deposit).
  • The submitted documents will not be returned and the applicant has the responsibility for checking whether the documents are accepted or not and the application is successful or not.
  • In accordance with the Enforcement Decree of the Higher Education Act, the application fee can be returned in the following cases only. - If the applicant has paid the excessive amount in error - If the applicant failed to take the entrance examination due to the reasons imputable to the university. - If the applicant failed to take the entrance examination due to natural disasters. - If the applicant was hospitalized in a medical facility due to illness or accident, or if the applicant could not take the entrance examination due to the death of the applicant (only if the applicant can prove that fact).
  • If a balance is made due to a difference in income and expenditure related to admission, the applicant may be reimbursed in proportion to the application fee paid. When returning the application fee, details will be notified to the applicant and the amount will be transferred to the bank account. (However, the cost of using the financial institution's network will be deducted from the returning amount. If the cost is more than the amount to be returned or there is no balance to return, the application fee will not be returned
  • Our applicants and enrolled students can apply for and enroll in another university. However, the student should check whether the other school allows multiple application and enrollment or now.
  • No admission results are disclosed.
  • The successful applicant must pay the admission fee and the tuition fee by the specified date. If the applicant fails to pay the amount by the specified date, admission will be canceled.
  • The preliminary admitted applicant will be admitted in accordance with the preliminary admission rank that is disclosed only to the applicant when successful applicants are announced. If the applicant cannot be contacted more than 3 times, the right to enroll will be given to the next applicant on the list.
  • If the applicant who has already paid the admission fee and tuition fee wants to give up his/her admission to the school, all payment amounts can be refunded except the screening fee if the applicant apply for giving up on the system before the start date of the semester.
  • If the applicant did not receive notification due to incorrect address or contact information in the application, the applicant cannot raise a claim about failure/non-registration for any reasons later if the school tried to call the applicant more than two time or send a SMS message one time but failed.
  • Freshmen cannot take a leave of absence for the first semester of admission. However, a leave of absence for the military service or illness (more than 4 weeks) are excluded.
  • Scholarship payment for the newly enrolled student will be determined by the Admissions Management Committee and the scholarship regulations of the school.
  • Items not specified in the application guidelines will be decided by the Admissions Management Committee.
  • If the student entered the school by the “company consignment selection”, it will be checked whether the student still works in the company every September, If the student leaves the company by his/her own intention, the student will be expelled. However, exception will be applied to the following cases after deliberation by the Trusted Education Review Committee in the school.
    ① If the student left the company or changed the workplace when only one semester is left to complete industry entrusted education.
    ② If the student left the company or transferred to another workplace without his/her own intention due to the bankruptcy or restructuring of the company or ex officio measures.
    ③ If there is an unavoidable reason such as childbirth that made the student unable to work in the company in question.
